This week we had to draw dragons in two styles. This is my first dragon and the attempted tribute is to the late great Ronald Searle. I tried not only to draw like him, and finish the cartoon with his scratchy lines and little details, but a little I wanted to think like him. His cartoons were a little subversive, but humorous. The original idea was to have a large distinguished face in the background with a fuzzy mustache perturbed by the dragon steeping in his tea, but today is Friday and I still have another dragon to do before tomorrow, so that detail will have to be added in as a revision.
